AI strategy & advisory
Cut through the noise. Together we find the highest-value use cases for your business, size the effort honestly, and build a roadmap you can act on.
Nelford Consulting · Herriman, Utah
I help small businesses in Herriman get real value from AI: cut the software you do not need, automate the busywork you do, and keep only the tools that actually earn their place.
Local, senior, and practical. Enterprise experience, small business focus.
Why I do this
For close to two decades I built and ran software for large enterprises. Those companies spend years upselling customers and piling on features, and the result is bloated, expensive software full of things almost nobody uses.
Small business owners inherit that same pricing and complexity, and it quietly drags down their bottom line. It is the same problem I have chased for years in cloud cost work and FinOps: paying for far more than you need.
In 2026, AI changes the math. A lot of what used to demand an expensive enterprise subscription can now be a small, custom tool that fits your business exactly, at a fraction of the cost. That is the work I want to do for my neighbors here in Herriman.
The offer
A fixed-price, no-guesswork look at everything you pay for, and whether you actually need it.
Often the savings it uncovers more than cover the cost.
How I help
Built for small and growing teams that want practical results, not a science project.
Cut through the noise. Together we find the highest-value use cases for your business, size the effort honestly, and build a roadmap you can act on.
Not just slides. I build the agents, automations, and custom tools that plug into your real workflows and start saving time and money right away.
Level up your team. Practical, safe, and confident use of AI tools, tailored to how your people actually work day to day.
I stand behind everything I build. If it is not working the way we agreed, I will make it right. Your satisfaction is the point, and I am here after launch, not just on the invoice.
Drawing on close to two decades running production systems for enterprises, I also take on DevOps, cloud, security, and FinOps work on a contractual basis.
What this looks like
A few illustrations of what practical AI could do for the kinds of small businesses right here in Herriman.
Turn a customer's room photos and wish list into a tailored system layout and price, then hand clients a support assistant that walks them through everyday fixes so the phone rings less.
Leads and referrals arrive by text, email, and voicemail. An AI screener reads each one, checks the job type, location, and budget, qualifies the good ones, and replies or books them automatically. No dashboard to log into, it just works through the tools he already uses.
Event details come in by text and turn into an instant menu and quote. The system tracks dietary restrictions, builds the shopping and prep lists, and sends a reminder and a thank-you with a review request after the event.
An assistant that answers common insurance and scheduling questions, sends appointment and recall reminders to cut no-shows, and summarizes new-patient intake forms before the visit.
Automated answers to schedule and belt-test questions, simple online registration, class and closure reminders, and billing nudges, so the instructors can focus on teaching.
The best place to start is a conversation, or the $999 audit.

About
I am Beau Nelford, based here in Herriman, Utah. Over close to two decades in software and IT I have worked across help desks, software quality, engineering leadership, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure, in logistics, ed tech, fintech, healthcare, and consumer electronics.
I hold an MBA from the University of Utah, where my studies spanned accounting, finance, marketing, operations, and machine learning, and a bachelor's in Linguistics from Brigham Young University. That mix is the point: I connect what a business needs to what the technology can actually do.
I started Nelford Consulting to bring that enterprise experience home to small businesses. My promise is straightforward: the help you need to get real value from AI, and nothing more.
